Figured it's Cakewalk, everything is on the up and up. I am a bit perturbed - as much as at myself since I didn't check their forums before making the purchase about 6 weeks back. But they will take your cash and let YOU figure it out. LE users (and hence Proteus Pack folks) are still waiting.ĪND they have not updated their website to warn folks.
They updated Dimension Pro MONTHS ago (toward the beginning of the year I believe). That the code base has already been updated for the Pro version.

Getting 6 whole sound modules of multisampled patches with some pretty decent editing and layering options plus an instrument player with some simple yet usefull power behind it, all for $300.00, it's a worthwhile investment, and their service dept. all samples are easily accesable to use in other samplers as well, they can even be copied directly to another directory in case you want to store 2 sets, 1 for the dimension in it's own content multisample folder and a second copy in your regular "samples" directory. Now I can tell you I own the mo phatt, xl-1 and planet earth hardware modules since they first came out(glad to get the other 3 and condense it all into my comp), these sample packs are very accurate, when comparing sounds side by side I have found only a small handfull of synth sounds that are different (the differences weren't bad, just slight differences in the fluxuation of certain elements of the sound).Īll the drum kits sound perfect, the variety of sounds on the planet earth are awesome. NOTE: you officially buy the proteus expansion and get the dimension LE free, its a little bit of a download and register process, but very easy.

I am one happy dude, just got this about two weeks ago, it's great, for $300.00 dollars you gert the dimension LE, simple 4 part sample player/patch builder with global reverb and mod fx, and per part filter/distortion/bitcrusher/transpose/keyfollow/tune/shift, with a nice variety of sounds stock, but the real deal is that you get all 6 of the emu proteus 2000 lineup, the mo phatt (hip hop & funk sounds), the extreme lead (electro & club Sounds), the virtuoso (orchestral sounds), proteus 2000 original (various styles), proteus PX-7 (drum sounds) and the king - the planet earth module (global ethnic sounds).
